Ectopic Pregnancy by dr.umarish

ECTOPIC PREGNANCY:

"An ectopic pregnancy occurs when an egg implants outside the uterus"                  The disease can cause bleeding. Ectopic pregnancy is a potentially life-threatening condition that requires emergency treatment.

What is a pregnancy outside of the womb?

An ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs outside the uterus. This occurs when eggs are placed in a vacuum that cannot support their development. Ectopic pregnancies usually occur in the fallopian tubes (the two structures that make up the ovaries and fallopian tubes). Ectopic pregnancies can usually occur in the womb.

It is a deadly disease. An ectopic pregnancy is not a pregnancy that can be carried long-term (until birth) and can be dangerous for the mother if not treated immediately.

Where does an ectopic pregnancy occur?

An ectopic pregnancy occurs when an egg implants outside the uterus. It is designed to travel through the tube into the wall of the uterus, where it can begin to grow. After fertilization, the egg enters the egg. The most likely location is the uterus. Most ectopic pregnancies occur here - called ectopic pregnancies. Fertilized eggs can also invade other parts of the uterus. This is a rarer ectopic pregnancy than an ectopic pregnancy.

How common is ectopic pregnancy?

Post-pregnancy is a health emergency. The abdomen is suitable for carrying a growing baby. It is a muscle that can expand and grow as the baby grows. Your abdominal cavity does not change. It may burst as the stomach grows. If this happens, you may have severe internal bleeding. This is deadly. Ectopic pregnancies must be treated promptly to prevent infection of the placenta and other placental organs, internal bleeding, and death.

Can my pregnancy continue after ovulation?

Unfortunately late pregnancy is life threatening. cannot stay out of the womb. Prompt treatment of pregnancy is necessary to protect the health of the mother. If the egg implants and the uterus ruptures, she can develop cystic fibrosis. It cause death of the patient.

What causes an ectopic pregnancy?

Ectopic pregnancies are usually caused by a mechanism that slows or prevents the ovaries from falling into the uterus.

How can I tell if I am at risk of late pregnancy?

There are several risk factors that can increase the chances of an ectopic pregnancy. A risk factor is a behavior or behavior that increases the likelihood of developing a disease or illness. The chances of miscarriage increase if:

After pregnancy:

History of PiD, a disease that can cause contractions of the ovaries, uterus, placenta, and placenta.

Ovarian surgery (surgery to tie off the uterus, also called hysterosalpingia) or on other parts of the uterus.

.History of infertility;

.In vitro infertility (IVF) treatment.

.Endometrial.

.sexually transmitted diseases (STIs).

.An intrauterine device (SUI), a birth control device during pregnancy.

.History of smoking.

Your risk may also increase as you age. Women over the age of 37 are more likely than younger women.

Most women who become pregnant do not experience the above.

What are the symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy?

The first symptoms of pregnancy can look much like normal pregnancy symptoms. However, you may experience other symptoms after menopause, for example

.vaginal bleeding;

.Pain in lower abdomen, hips and back.

.pain or weakness.

.A ruptured fallopian tube can cause intense pain and bleeding that can lead to more symptoms. It might even do this:

.Loss of consciousness.

.blood pressure (hypotension).

.It’s a bit of a scare.

.Rectal pressure is low.

When the tube ruptures, you can experience severe abdominal pain. This is an emergency and you should talk to your doctor or go to the emergency room immediately.

If you know you are pregnant and have had an IUD (contraceptive device in the uterus) or prior tubal ligation (caesarean section or ligation), contact your health care provider immediately. in such situations, ectopic pregnancy is more likely.

How does an ectopic pregnancy happen?

An ectopic pregnancy is diagnosed during a visit to the doctor’s office. Your doctor will first do some tests to confirm your pregnancy, then look for an ectopic pregnancy. These tests are:

Urine test: This test involves urinating into a test strip (usually like a stick) or a cup in your provider’s office and then dipping the test strip into the urine sample.

Blood tests: Your doctor may perform a blood test to determine how much human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is present in your body. The hormone is produced during pregnancy. Serum beta-hCG level.

Ultrasound: An imaging test, ultrasound uses sound waves to visualize the internal structure of the body. Ultrasound is often used during pregnancy. Your doctor uses this test to determine where the fertilized egg is being implanted.

Once your doctor confirms your pregnancy and determines where the fertilized egg was implanted, a treatment plan will be developed. An ectopic pregnancy is an emergency and an important part of treatment.

If you have a ruptured fallopian tube, you need emergency room treatment immediately. If so, there is no time to wait for an appointment.

How early in the pregnancy is an ectopic pregnancy?

Ectopic pregnancy is diagnosed very early. They usually occur in the first trimester (first three months). It is diagnosed in the eighth week of pregnancy.

How to treat an ectopic pregnancy?

Ectopic pregnancy can be treated in several ways. Sometimes your doctor will prescribe methotrexate to prevent pregnancy. This will end your pregnancy                      . Methotrexate :is a medical injection drug ,this will end your pregnancy   .                      This option is less invasive than surgery, but requires regular appointments where hCG levels will be monitored.

Surgery:

In severe cases surgery is routinely performed. If your fallopian tubes are ruptured , your doctor may recommend surgery. It speeds up surgery and saves lives. The procedure is performed laparoscopically (using several small incisions instead of one large incision). The surgeon may remove the entire fallopian tube if it is inside or, if necessary, remove the egg from the fallopian tube.

Can we prevent ectopic pregnancy?

No pregnancy can be ectopic. However, you can try to minimize it by adopting healthy habits. This includes smoking cessation, maintaining a healthy weight and diet and avoiding sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Talk to your doctor about the risks before trying to get pregnant.

Can I get pregnant again after an ectopic pregnancy?

Most women with ectopic pregnancies can become pregnant in the future. In the future, you may be at a much higher risk for a pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about why an ectopic pregnancy can occur and the risks of having an ectopic pregnancy in the future.

How long should I wait to get pregnant again after an ectopic pregnancy?

After treatment for pregnancy, talk to your doctor about getting pregnant. Even if you get pregnant immediately after treatment, it is best to wait about three months. This gives the fallopian tubes time to heal and reduces the risk of an ectopic pregnancy.

Can I still have children if the investigation is removed?

In most cases, you can still have children if the tubes are removed. A few more tubes may go with the egg in the rest of the tube. There are also methods to remove the egg from the uterus, fertilize it outside the body, and insert it into the uterus. This is called in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Be mindful of your future pregnancy and health plans. You can plan together and discuss ways to mitigate any risks.
